I love fitness! From the time I was little, my parents always had me involved in some sort of activity, be it gymnastics, ballet or figure skating. I never considered myself an athlete but I liked to be active during the day. My dad was into running and weight lifting and taught me some basics about that. My mom loved 80's aerobics. She would bring me to her fitness classes and we would do at home 'Jane Fonda Workouts'.

When I was about 14 I got involved in competitive aerobics. The sport allowed me to dicipline myself to train long hours and compete in international competitions.

When I graduated high school, I no longer had time to train for hours on end, and started focusing on academics instead. In my first couple of years at university, I did some running, fitness classes and weight lifting. I liked taking fitness classes, but I thought it would be much more exciting to lead them. I took a course, and in 1999, I became a certified fitness instructor specialist by the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals (Can-Fit-Pro). I taught a few classes each day, including weight lifting, step, hi-low, boxing and stretching. I loved being involved in fitness so much, I became the fitness co-ordinator at the university.

As a fitness instructor, I was always getting asked nutrition and training questions. I decided to start a website to address common questions and concerns many people had about health.

After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles, where I continued to teach fitness classes, and also became an ACE certified Personal Trainer.

It's now late 2004, and I just finished a move to Vancouver, B.C., where I work as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. Each day my website has more and more visitors, so thanks for being a part of that!

Thank you so much to my wonderful husband Chris. This site wouldn't be possible without you.
